The Antares SWA-2 EP's are high quality 1.25" format eyepieces with 82
degree FOV's. These 8 and 9 element fully multicoated eyepieces are very
well corrected, as well corrected as some $600.00 EP's! They show sharp
stars right to the edge, and rate comparably to eyepieces costing 3 times
more. Fold down rubber eye guard, rubber grip ring, top and bottom caps.

These premium Plossls offer the
observer the ultimate in contrast. Superior lens polishing with
multi-coating on all internal air-glass surfaces, these eyepieces provide
Orthoscopic-type definition with the added luxury of a 52 degree apparent
field. In this regard, the extra field makes them more useable as an
all-around eyepiece. Planets, as well as illusive nebulosity's and
clusters will be presented with dazzling detail. Standard features include
5 or 7 element designs with premium, fully multicoated, edge blackened
optics, engraved lettering, slip-on eye cups and standard filter threaded
barrels. The result: Ultra-crisp imaging.

The W70 series eyepieces offer extra field and extra eye relief without sacrificing image quality. Many observers don't like having their eye too close to the eyepiece, on average, the W70 series oculars have an eye relief of 15mm. Combine that with a wide apparent field of view and you have eyepieces that are very comfortable and nice to use. Larger clusters and nebulosity's will now easily fit into your field of view at higher magnification, and your eyeball won't be pressed up against the glass. Standard features include multi-coating, fold-down rubber
eye cup, rubber grips, standard filter threaded barrels and edge-blacked lenses.
All are 1.25" except the 34 mm & 40 mm

Optional ClearVue 30 camera
adapters are shown below

The ClearVue 30 mm 80° ULTRA WIDE is a very serious wide-angle
2" eyepiece, at a very attractive price. Don't let the low price fool
you. If you were thinking of buying another companies high priced
eyepiece try the Clearvue 30 first. You wont be disappointed. The contrast
and correction is very good for very low powered wide-angle views of the
heavens, star hopping in your "light bucket", or leisurely scans
of the Milky Way.
The eyepiece features include:
- 5 elements in 3
groups
- Fully
multi-coated (FMC)
- High-index
glass
- The eye relief
is an excellent 22mm.
- High light
transmission
- Deep
comfortable fold down rubber eyecup
- Weight 1.2 lb,
or 0.570 kg
- 114 mm high
- 59 mm wide
- Field stop 44.8
mm
- Housing has a
rubber grip
- Fully threaded
barrel accepts 2" filters
- Barrel is
recessed for set screws
- Bolt style
storage case
- End caps.
The 38mm diameter eyelens is just 3 mm
deep into the EP body. Concealed beneath the rubber eyecup you'll
find threading to accept M49 camera adaptors. Perfect for afocal camera
imaging with a wide variety of film and digital cameras.
Field correction is good; I've compared this to similar 2”
eyepieces and honestly liked the views better in the Clearvue 30. The edge
performance does begin to soften, very slightly, when used with short
focal ratio telescopes, i.e. much less than F/6. There is no kidney bean
effect, pincushion, ghosting, or astigmatism. Use of a coma corrector is
needed for these fast scopes anyway to get the most from your eyepieces.
Each eyepiece is quality tested before shipping. Shipping is
included in the price in the CONUS.
